New Delhi: Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Arun Jaitley on Wednesday rejected the allegations of former union minister Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie regarding the Rafael fighter aircraft deal. Both the top ministers of the central government said that the government has already responded in this regard in Parliament. Earlier, after the Congress, two former BJP ministers Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie had surrounded the central government on the Raphael deal. Both leaders raised a press conference with former Leader Prashant Bhushan and they questioned the government in this matter.

Former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha and Arun Shourie said that the Raphael deal is a matter of “criminal misconduct to be remembered”. This is a big scam even than the Bofors scam. They demanded that the deal should be investigated by the CAG in a timely manner.

Defense Minister said, all claims dashed in Parliament
Defense Minister Nirmala Sitharaman dismissed the allegations as “baseless”. He tweeted that the government has already responded to allegations in Parliament. Recent attempts to spoil the image of the government through unfounded allegations had collapsed in Parliament.

Arun Jaitley also did wrong
At the same time, Union Minister Arun Jaitley termed the complaints of disturbances in the Raphael Fighter Airlines deal today as being “dishonest and false” and said that these allegations are being imposed by those forces which have their relevance It is constantly frustrating to prove. Jaitley wrote on Facebook the title “The Raphael Falls Repeat”, “There is no real truth in today’s unfounded allegations, nor is there anything to confirm the alleged facts and huge documents that have been raised in support of baseless allegations.”

Sinha and Shourie said – It’s mess with the security of the country
Yashwant Sinha and Shouri addressed a press conference with advocate-activist Prashant Bhushan, raising several questions regarding the Rs 58,000-crore deal involving the purchase of 36 Rafal fighter aircraft from France. These three people, known as the harsh critique of the NDA government, accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of changing the standards alone, and said that necessary procedures were given a serious violation in the final form of the deal. He alleged that the whole deal was a unique matter of ‘criminal misconduct, misuse of public office and national interest and the enrichment of the parties at the expense of national security’. The three people said that the government tried to “hide” the facts. .

Congress has already raised the question
Congress has been accusing Rafael deal of heavy irregularities. He says that the government is paying Rs 1,670 crore for a Rafale aircraft, while the UPA government did a deal worth Rs 526 crore for the purchase of 126 Rafale aircraft. Sinha, Shourie and Bhushan also dismissed the government’s argument that the cost of the aircraft increased due to specificities and specific weapon systems.

Prashant Bhushan said – the loss of Rs 35,000 crore to the country
Describing the Rafael deal as the ‘biggest defense scam’ of the country till now, Bhushan alleged that this caused a loss of at least Rs 35,000 crore to the exchequer. Jaitley said, “Uncompromising allegations against the government are nothing, but lies by those powers which are going to be offered again and again, which are becoming desperate to prove their relevance. The government had already responded effectively to the issue and distorted the issues and propaganda.

He said that this allegation is just another attempt to defame the government by spreading false and fabricated facts about the agreement between the two governments in 2016 for the purchase of the Rafael Fighter Aircraft. He said that it is more condemnable that a new attempt to tarnish the image of the government has been done in the Parliament almost two weeks after the fall of such a try.
