Hyderabad: The Election Commission can discuss today (Friday) on the issue of holding elections ahead of time in Telangana. At the same time, after the sudden political stir in the state, BJP has organized a meeting with local leaders and ministers today. BJP will fight TRC!
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday claimed that it will be TRS’s biggest challenge in the Telangana Assembly elections because there is no goodwill of Congress and it is a divided party. The Telangana cabinet has recommended dissolution of the Assembly just months before its completion. In fact, the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) hopes that the charisma of Chief Minister Chandrashekhar Rao and the divided opposition will help the party reach power again.
Rao announces the names of candidates on 105 seats
Meanwhile, Rao announced his candidates for 105 out of the 119 seats of the Legislative Assembly. Speaking to the Congress, the party said that it is the biggest enemy of Telangana. Rao called Congress President Rahul Gandhi “the biggest prankster” of the country. Though he avoided the criticism of the BJP. Chief Minister Rao presided over the meeting of the state cabinet, while pausing the speculations going on for weeks, the proposal to dissolve the assembly was passed.
Acting CM will remain Rao
Governor ESL Narasimhan accepted the recommendation and Rao, the first Chief Minister of the state, made in 2014, was asked to remain in the post of acting Chief Minister. Raj Bhavan said in a communique that while accepting the recommendation of the Chief Minister and the Council of Ministers, the Governor requested Chandrashekhar Rao and his Council of Ministers to continue working as the caretaker government.
